Slinger Lion Fish Pole Spear
Lionfish Pole Spears for Precision and Effectiveness
Discover the simplest and most effective tool for Lionfish eradication... the Slinger
Subsea Sports is known for reels, but our passion for ethical spearfishing is strong.
If you are looking to help your local environment and get a meal at the same time, then Lionfish eradication is for you. With the right equipment, you can do your part and make a dent on the invasive Lionfish population.
This is why we have developed the Slinger polespear trigger mechanism. A trigger device that allows you to maintain a pretensioned spear until YOU are ready to shoot. This is a powerful tool that will allow you to focus on the dive and quarry, and not having to waist time loading when you find your prey.
Our mechanism is unique in that:
- It is compact and light
- NO springs or set screws.
- NO adjustments needed.
- Loading pad for ease of use (using the web of your hand between your thumb and index finger)
- 3 foot Aluminum Spear Tube. Heavy wall construction. It will last a lifetime..no more fraying and splinters from a fiberglass rod
- 3 Prong 9" barbed tri-tip included. 6mm threads if you wish to change tip.
The Slinger allows you to position the handle at any given location on the pole, effectively setting the desired power range for your shot. Once you have it set, enjoy the dive until you find your prey, all the while your spear is ready for action.
To release, simply aim and lightly press the trigger and you are slinging the pole. The pole is captive and will not pass through the grip.
It's that simple.
Made of tough plastic and with 304 stainless steel tension lock mechanism, it is designed to last like all our products.
As with any spearfishing device, awareness of the muzzle/spear direction needs to be observed. Severe bodily harm can occur if you are careless. If you are not familiar with proper spearing techniques, we strongly advise seeking training from your favorite instructor/shop before use.
